Process
Step 1:
Before you meet with your ad team, you need to become an expert on your topic. You will meet in expert groups to understand the basics of the respiratory system. Check with your advertising executive (teacher) to find out which expert group you are in. Click on the name of your group to access your research guide.
Technical expert #1- Your job is to research the following parts of the lungs: trachea, bronchi, bronchioles. You need to identify what they do, and where they are. Use the research guide.
Technical expert #2: Your job is to research the following parts of the lungs: alveoli, alveolus, capillaries You need to identify what they do, and where they are. Use the research guide.
Risk expert: Your job is to find information about what harms the lungs. Use the research guide.
Coach: Your job is to find information about what helps the lungs to stay healthy. Use the research guide.
Artist (optional job): The artist's job is to study what the lungs look like, and create a picture of the lungs for the final product. The artist needs to work with the technical experts to make sure each section of the lungs is represented.

Diagram of the lungs- Your final product must include a diagram of the lungs. You may wish to include this diagram in your final product. Make sure you label any parts you have studied that are not included on the diagram.

Step 2: Now that you are an expert, you need to meet with your ad team to prepare your advertisement to convince kids about the importance of taking care of their respiratory system.
Two minute talk: Each expert needs to teach their ad team about the topic they researched. Each expert will talk for two minutes.
Remember, EACH person on your ad team is an expert on the topic they researched. In order to create a successful ad campaign, you will need to include information from each expert in your group, so listen carefully as each expert speaks.

- Reasons WHY kids should take care of their lungs
- Information on HOW children can take care of their lungs
